Tom Glynn - founder / general manager

Tom Glynn was raised in Indiana and is a proud graduate of the inaugural class of the Indiana Academy (Hogwarts for Hoosiers). Tom attended Amherst College and earned a BA in Physics before moving to New York to explore his love of film and photography. He received his MFA from Columbia University where he and Pulitzer Prize winning classmate Ayad Akhtar wrote and directed two award-winning shorts. Tom and Ayad teamed up with Joseph Costello to make the critically acclaimed feature film “The War Within” (Magnolia 2005). Tom was a writer and producer on the movie, which was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards including Best Screenplay. During this time Tom began working for Tiffany & Co., producing internal videos on new product launches, interactive sales training and more. The experience led to more commercial work, producing videos for companies like Vanity Fair Magazine, Marubeni America Corp., and nonprofits like Literacy, Inc. In 2006 Tom moved to Santa Monica, CA and began producing in-store, commercial and web videos for Industrie, Australia’s largest menswear brand, now a global company with stores in the UK, US, South Africa and New Zealand. During this time Tom also taught film history, motion graphics and 3D-math for game programming at Santa Monica College and The Art Institutes of California. In 2011 he founded his own production company, working out of Los Angeles, New York and Australia. Current clients include Bleacher Report, Legal Zoom, NBATV, the HAMMER Museum, the Natural History Museum, the DOHA GOALS Forum & the Special Olympics, NY NOW, MAGIC Market Week and more. Feature film projects include The War Within (Magnolia, 2005), Automotive, (GoDigital, 2014), and two documentaries currently in development. Tom lives with his wife and three children in Santa Monica.
